Whilst discussions and planning about what and where to study next year are well underway for Year 11 and 12 students, where a student is going to live in their first year of university is often overlooked until the last minute. Given the challenges associated with moving away from home and living independently for the first time, especially as students transition from school to university, it is important to start considering available options sooner rather than later.

On May 12th, Toowoomba Anglican School will be hosting Toowoomba’s inaugural University Accommodation Expo, where students, parents and teachers will have the opportunity to meet with a range of different accommodation providers to help them make an informed decision about where they are going to live when they move away from home to begin their university studies.
All Year 11 and 12 Toowoomba school students (from TAS and elsewhere), as well as their parents and teachers, are invited to attend the Expo. It will be an excellent opportunity to learn more about the different types of accommodation options and who the different providers within each category are, the academic and pastoral support each provider offers, the application processes, the costs associated with each option and what financial support may be available.
