As Australia's only coeducational K-12 Day and Boarding School offering Boarding from Years 1 to 12, the school’s family boarding culture is a point of difference.
Boarding lies at the heart of TAS and it is the special quality of the relationships between boarders, their families and staff that sets the tone for all relationships across TAS.
In 2020, Toowoomba Anglican School were delighted to announce that they had been nominated for the Australian Education Awards ‘Boarding School of the Year’. The Australian Education Awards celebrate the outstanding achievements of the country’s top performing schools, principals, department heads and teachers.
Once a decision to board is made, parents can be reassured that their child will be supported in a gentle environment with a focus on developing strength and resilience. Mindful of the immense trust placed in us, we consider it a privilege to journey with boarder families in this way and encourage regular contact between the school, parents and students.
With a vibrant community of students from regional and remote locations within and beyond Australia, our boarding brings together young people from different backgrounds. The majority of our boarders hail from properties and regional towns but it is their shared experiences with boarders from suburbia and the cities that develops and enhances a special sense of family, community and belonging. The School actively supports and involves themselves with ICPA QLD to assist them in campaigning for educational equality for all children, particularly boarding families.
Toowoomba Anglican School Boarding Staff and Executive members visit families from rural towns multiple times per year and in 2021 our Head of School and Executive are looking forward to meeting families in the below locations. Please contact us to register interest for any of these events
