Extension and Enrichment Program

At Toowoomba Anglican School we recognise that students have diverse learning needs, and our classroom teachers are skilled at differentiating their teaching practice to meet these individual needs. In addition to this, we offer the Extension and Enrichment Program for high-potential students from Prep to Year 10. 

Depending on year level, students in the E&E Program at TAS have the benefits of: 

• being awarded first preference for certain interschool academic competitions such as Science and Engineering Challenge, Maths Team Challenge, Opti-Minds, etc. 

• being invited to within school and outside of school programs exclusively for E&E students. 
• having their classroom academic progress monitored by the classroom teacher in conjunction with the LEC to help these students achieve their potential. 

The E&E Program aims to deepen the learning of the high-potential students at TAS, while simultaneously celebrating the student’s commitment to academic pursuit. As such, students in the E&E Program are expected to continue to achieve at a very high standard in their area of high potential. Entry into the E&E Program is based on robust standardised testing results in consultation with the student’s classroom teachers. TAS welcomes all students who meet the criteria for entry into the program.
