School History

There’s something special about being part of school with a long history. You’ll walk a little taller in your school uniform and pull your school cap on with pride. First established over a century ago in 1911 with just 17 students, TAS has decades of wonderful traditions that live on today.

We are fortunate to be on the very same grounds since we were founded, so when you walk the school grounds you will be surrounded by our history. Of course, there are new buildings and facilities, but the spirit of TAS will forever remain.

Over the decades, a range of wonderful traditions from the distinctive school cap to the emphasis upon good manners have become part of the very fabric of Toowoomba Anglican School. Our heritage is important to us for it helps to shape who we are and, at the same time, provides a springboard to look confidently to the future.

As valued members of our community, the Past Students Association aims to foster and encourage these links of history, friendship and comradery in our Alumni.
